In response to the devastating global AIDS pandemic, UCLA students annually organize a 26-hour dance marathon to raise funds and awareness for children suffering from AIDS. Dance Marathon has raised nearly $1 million in its six year history for the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation, Camp Kindle and Camp Heartland.
Fraternities and sororities have been active members of the community since the early 1920s. Organization and campus affiliations often continue long after commencement. Currently, UCLA is home to 60 Greek-letter social organizations representing 12% of the student body.
The UCLA Lesbian Gay Bisexual Transgender Campus Resource Center helps create and maintain an open, safe and inclusive environment for lesbian, gay, bisexual, intersex, transgender, queer, questioning and same-gender-loving students, faculty, and staff, their families and friends, and the entire campus community.
The UCLA Bruin Marching Band performs at the Rose Bowl before as many as 100,000 people. Throughout the game and during halftime, this lively group of students keeps spirits high with rock and pop hits and plenty of 8-Claps.

UCLA Orientation promotes academic achievement and personal development among incoming students. From the Rose Bowl to Pauley Pavilion to campus fundraisers, the Dance Team, Cheer Squad, Yell Crew and Mascots are dedicated to creating a spirited UCLA experience for the student body. They pump up the energy-levels at games and across campus, enthusiastically exhibiting UCLA pride.
USAC is the governing body of the Undergraduate Students Association, whose membership comprises every UCLA undergraduate student. Programs offer an invaluable service to the campus and surrounding communities and provide an opportunity for thousands of students to participate and benefit.
UCLA UniCamp was founded in 1934 and became the official student charity of UCLA in 1948. Each year, through the dedication of 350 student volunteer counselors, Unicamp serves nearly 1,000 children from low-income families. UniCamp is the nation's largest university-based camp and is one of the oldest student-organized charities in the country.
